Project VBA Programming Book

So you want to learn how to develop Project VBA macros? Then the book Project VBA Programming is for you!

The book is designed as courseware for a training course and as a self paced training manual. The three sections in the book are:

  1. Section 1 is an introduction to VBA programming. As the book is about Project VBA, this introductory section is brief and provides just the information and skills a complete VBA beginner needs to know to get started and understand Sections 2 and 3.
  2. Section 2 is dedicated to Project VBA. The learning style is strictly by example, so each module builds up more and more complex and useful code. You will quickly notice bits of code that get re-used and re-used. You can copy these common samples of code to create the back bone of your own macros.
To make coding even easier, the book points you to a site to download all samples.
  3. Section 3 teaches you to how to develop macros in Excel to report against the SQL server databases for Project Server 2003 and the reporting database for Project Server 2007.

The many macros in this book are likely to save you the cost of the book and your time spent learning how they work many times over! All the macros solve common reporting and mpp file management issues experienced by most experienced Microsoft Project Users.
